About Our Savannah Technology Map
Savannah is Georgia’s oldest city and attracts millions of visitors to its cobblestone streets, parks, and notable historic buildings. The region lies on the Savannah River located in the Southeast section of the state and is Georgia’s third largest metropolitan area with approximately 874,000 residents in a 14 county region.
Savannah’s status as a global seaport and its world renowned historic architecture often overshadows its history for disruptive innovation. As the birthplace of the cotton gin to the first steam ship to cross the Atlantic Ocean, Savannah has long been at the center of innovation throughout its history.
Today, the region is home to a number of technology and “tech-enabled” companies, colleges, government facilities and startups in industries such as Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Logistics Technology, Health IT, Digital Media and Entertainment Tech and more.
